Fivemiletown Football: 1946/47
Never found anything on football in Fivemiletown in connection with the league for this season, but in the Mulhern Cup, as you will see in a report from the Impartial Reporter from April 1947, Fivemiletown have entered two teams.
‘Mulhern Cup
Eight teams have entered for the Mulhern Cup. To reduce traveling, the Fermanagh Council has decided to play the competition in two areas, the two leading teams in each league to enter the semi-final of the competition. Thus Rock Rovers, Brookeborough, Fivemiletown F.C and Fivemiletown Athletic club will play a league in one area, and R.A.F. (Castle Archdale), Ballinamallard, Enniskillen Corinthians and Enniskillen Y.M.C.A. in the other area.’

In the opening round the two teams from Fivemiletown were up against each other resulting in Fivemiletown FC beating Fivemiletown Athletic 3-0
The next report I find said ‘at the half way stage of the Mulhern cup, the leader of the Fivemiletown area are Rock Rovers, and the leader in the Enniskillen area is Castle Archdale’

The next set of results I find, played mid-week, show both Fivemiletown teams taking a win,

The next entry said, ‘The Lisbellaw side, Rock Rovers, reached the final at the expense of Fivemiletown Fc, whom they defeated in the semi-final before a record attendance.’
